Want a Regency Era heroine, who would have marched in the Woman's Marches of 2017? Look no further than Leorah Langdon in the novel "The Viscount's Proposal" by Melanie Dickerson</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
Leorah is determining to marry for love like her brother, and not end up like her parents in a loveless union. Viscount Edward Withinghall, want to avoid the very thing that got his father killed in a dual over his married mistress with her husband. To him Leorah is the trouble his wish to avoid. What happens when trying to be a gentleman and help an injured Learah he set the gossip mill running when they are found in his overturned carriage at night?</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
It's one of the things I loved about this story: how strong the female lead, Leorah, was against the strict ideas and rules of the Regency upper class.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
Another thing I loved, about Ms. Dickerson's writings, is her retellings of a well-known tale, in this case, Pride and Prejudice. In every story, I read, written by her. I wondered how she's going to turn an important element in the story into something of her own. I'm never disappointed.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
The first chapter was a little slow but I loved one piece of dialog between Leorah and her best friend, Felicity. It's one of the best dialogs I read between friends in a novel. It's can't be missed.</div>

What grabbed my attention when I read about this book on
Netgalley was the quote:</div>
<div class="MyNormal">

What could beat a novel that put together Breaking Bad with

going until she does in fact decided to sell drugs to escape a crazy engagement

after that. And it's not fair that this is a series, the ending set up the next
book and I loved it so much I hated it. I can't wait for the next book. </div>

I loved the first line of this book. It's drew me in and I wanted to know a little more. But I didn't finish this book. The writing stood out and it's a great story but not my kind of story. My guess if you loved Gone Girl you'll love this story. I wanted so bad to love this story but I didn't.<br />

This classic fairy tale had one element I loved, it has a
strong and brave heroine in Gerda. Her name meant guardian. It's a fitting name
for the heroine of this story. She refused to believe that Kai, her friend, was
died when he didn't return home, and went out into the "wide world"
to find him. With this decision she declared herself Kai's guardian. </div>

I liked that Gerda's adventure was split into seven stories,

I couldn't help but wonder if the Snow Queen inspired the
witch in C.S. Lewis "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" and if
Gerda didn't inspired parts of Lucy's character development. </div>

I'm having a hard time coming up with what to say about this
book. It's that intense and that good. The hard core emotion of grief and each
characters' reaction to their grief drive this story from beginning to end. </div>

This story is told from five different point of views:
Jaycee, Mik, Zach, Natalie, and Bishop. Ms. McCarthy wrote amazing, intense
characters. I could imaging that each one of them alive somewhere in the world
going on these incredible trips to these abandon places. </div>
<div class="MyNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MyNormal">
My favorite characters are Jaycee and Mik. I relate to
Jaycee's blunt and honest need for the truth. I also relate Mik's select muteness,
his shyness. Plus this guy of very few words has the best point of view in the
whole novel. It's in graphic novel style. It's a wonderful surprise to turn the
page and see the black and white drawings. I also like Bishop's drawings as his point of
view. Jaycee, being the main character and the one with the strongest grief is
written in first person. Natalie and Zach, who are boyfriend and girlfriend was
written in third person. (Bishop is Zach's best friend)</div>

It's
has a little of everything, adventure, romance, and mystery.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
The <span style="background: white;">protagonist is </span>Nix,
she's a good mix of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and Elizabeth from The
Pirates of the Caribbean. With her amazing knowledge of mythology she become an
unforgettable character.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
Her father can navigate his black ship, The Temptation,
through time with the help of maps. He want to get back to back to Nix's mother
but her mother died giving birth to her. Nix's worried that if he succeed she
might no longer exist, but with her wealth of knowledge about map, history, and
mythology he need her help. When she refuse he threaten to leave her best
friend and possibly her love where she can't return. Will she refuse risking
being like her father or help him? </div>
<div class="MyNormal">
I love the mix of opposites in this story, facts and fiction
(Mythology) Everything in this story is itself and its opposite (Once you read
the story you'll understand, I promise) Even Nix's name has this principle. </div>
<div class="MyNormal">
After reading this I wish I could visit 19th century Hawaii.
Heidi Heilig made it sound magical. </div>
<div class="MyNormal">
I did think the beginning was a little confusing and slow.
Keep reading it get better. I wonder if it would be more interesting if it
started where Nix's running through the market with the bird instead of trying
to explain the bird's importance while she trying to bargaining for it. It might have been confusing but I would had
the question of why running through my head. </div>
<br />
<div class="MyNormal">

The Heartbreakers by Ali Novak was an awesome book. I loved all the characters.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
Stella would do anything for her sister - ever wait for hours
to get her sister's favorite band's autograph. Lucky for her she met a cute boy
at the Starbucks so her trip had some perks until she realized that she had met
the lead singer of the band, Oliver. A band by the way she hated. And that just
the beginning of the adventure.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
Stella was a spunky girl with a nose ring who's must learn a
few things about herself.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
Oliver... well I don't really want to give anything away
about Oliver. </div>

I loved the relationship between the band's members and how
it's introduce in one crazy night with Stella and her brother. This was one of
my favorite part, the whole night from the elevator to the meeting the band's
manager, Courtney. </div>

I wished Ms. Novak would write a story for Alec. He was my
favorite secondary character. I also kind of want JJ to have a story too. I didn't want this book to end, but I loved
the ending. It was perfect. </div>

This book would be a perfect beach read or the book to read
if you want to pretend you're at the beach on a snow day. </div>

Melanie Dickerson's A Spy's Devotion<br />
<br />
Book Review<br />
<br />
It's evident that God blessed Melanie Dickerson with the gift and passion to write and to write well. Her story telling grow stronger with each book.
The Spy's Devotion -- Well I have already recommended it to two people, my best friend and my mother. I think women of all ages will love this book.
I wanted to read this book because I really liked Ms. Dickerson's retelling of fairy tales and I wanted to see how she would write an Regency's historical romance novel. I am so glad I did. I wasn't disappointed in this book. In the past I would have said I loved Ms. Dickerson retelling of fairy tales but her Regency's historical novel blow those out of the water... it is my understanding that her next retelling is a take on the little mermaid. The Spy's Devotion has risen the bar for what I expect from Melanie Dickerson.
Well done, Ms. Dickerson. By the way I can't wait to read your retelling of the little mermaid.<br />

One day it hit me that we had reached the point of avoiding
each other glance or at least I had reached the point of avoiding his glance.
Six months ago or a year ago I thought he and I were almost friends but
something changed. We were talking about strange dreams and visions of things
that aren't there and then one day we're not. Of everyone in that group he was
the one I thought would end up a real friend not just someone I sat there and strained
to listen to.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MyNormal">
But then something happened. I knew he had said a few things
that make me think about the world differently, that I admired him for these
things. Because of this I had a small crush on him that scared the heck out of
me. (Every time I think admire I feel
like Elinor in Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility)</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MyNormal">
I had a moment where not being able to hear matter more then
I liked to admit. (I have hearing loss in case you didn't know) We were
playing a game with the youth group at church and I wanted to help as
one of the group leaders, but the moment
my group rushed over me and the boys started chest bumping I realized I
couldn't hear or understand. In the panic
mode I looked over at my almost friend and for some reason he was looking at
me. From the questions I had asked before we joined the teenagers it was clear
that I worried I wouldn't hear. With that look from me he sent someone to help
me.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MyNormal">
After a few
minutes of the game I got over not being able to hear and went with the flow.
It turned into a really fun game but after when I thanked my almost friend. He
seemed embarrassed about something. I don't think he realized that when I
turned to him and asked him to help me "hear" I trusted him. I don't
trust just anyone with that knowledge. It
should have been a growing moment in our friendship but when he grew embarrassed
neither one of us knew what to say anymore.</div>
<div class="MyNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MyNormal">
I grew embarrassed that I dared to show him the degree of my
hearing loss. Became aware of every time I misunderstood him when he talked to me
and I asked him to repeat himself. Scared that in those moments my hearing loss
shined like a bright neon sign. Time passed, summer and Christmas flew by.
Somewhere between summer and the day I realized we reached the point where we
avoided each other glance we stopped being almost friends. </div>
<br />
<div class="MyNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MyNormal">
That day I forgot and met his glance, couldn't tell if it
scared him or surprised him. But it doesn't matter, summer is here again which
means the meetings are over. In time, we'll forget each other and he'll never
know not unless by chance, fate or by God's hands he read this.</div>

Hello, sorry I haven't posted in a long time, I tried out <a href="http://ultra-annie-gray-posts.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">tumblr</a>,
which I love.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I feel like God gave me a lot of blessings over the years,
one of the biggest blessing God gave me
was life, and I'm not talking about when Jesus said "I came so you may
have Life, that an even bigger blessing then what I'm talking about and another
post.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I was born premature God could have ended my life, and all
would have been great, instead gave me
life and I ended up with a hearing loss. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Instead of it being all great in heaven I was stuck
wondering why did he let me live. I asked this questions a lot my teenage
years. Wise adults in my life at the time told me God have a plan for me. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Well while I'm no longer angry at being left here to deal
with my life with hearing loss I still don't have a clue what this plan is, but
I do have a passion for stories. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I love stories.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
As a child I loved bedtime stories and when I got older and
realized I could create my own stories, my love for stories extended to a love
of words. </div>

I love any kind of story.</div>

<br />
When it come to my novel in progress, I feel a mix of emotions. <br />
<br />
First I feel lost. Where in the world am I going with this plot? I have no idea I've always been a panster when it came to writing. I have wrote outlines and characters charts and when I started writing I never use any of the information I outlined it's goes out the window so I stopped planning and just start writing. I will come up with an ending. It's float into my head while I write. That the only "planning" I'll stick with.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Second I'm scared. Scared to write for some reason.<br />
<br />
I'm excited I know <i>know</i> this is the best thing I've written so far, and the best story idea I've come up with. Note the best for me, not sure it's a wonderful book it's a first draft but it could be great. This may be another reason I'm scared.<br />
<br />
I really need to write!<br />
Does anyone else feel this way?<br />

Write everyday for 80 days writing challenge.<br />
I wrote a scene yesterday, and it hit me I know what my heroine is feeling but what does she want? What's her desire? What's her goal? I know her inner conflict but what am rooting for her to achieve? Because I know what the hero want and how my heroine is reacting to his dicions toward that goal, scenes for to achieve the hero's goal are going through my head. But that only half the story.<br />
I think if I knew what my heroine want then writing my daily goal would come easier.<br />

chapters, wanted to read more but like I said I needed to write. I decided at the gym that a character that I
struggled to give a name, would be named Wanda. (you can believe a bookworm,
fairy tale loving teen could be named Wanda, right?) I decided to write the introduction
