Love One Another
Today I read the words, "Rejoice in the Lord always.
I will say again it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all."
(Philippians 4:4a) At the word
gentleness, the lyrics to a song, "They'll Know We Are Christians By Our Love"
came into my head. This song is inspired from John 13:35.
In John 13:34-35 Jesus said, "A new command I give
you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By
this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one
another."
I know one thing for sure; I want the world to know I'm a
follower of Christ! Not by the words from my mouth or the words on this blog
but from my love. Actions speak louder
than words.
And I know there were times in my life (and dreadfully there
will be more times) when my actions didn't show my Christian beliefs but, I
hope my love will speak louder than my actions and my words. I hope.
I pray:
My Dear Lord Jesus
Christ,
I ask You for the love
You spoke of in John 13:34-35. I ask for
Your love for the person reading this post and that You bless them as only You
can bless them, for they are fearfully and wonderfully made by Your hands into
Your image. In Your awesome, great, holy name I pray. Amen!
